2020-present

The Company

WINconnect (WIN) is an Australian embedded network owner and operator.  It is focussed on the establishment of community energy precincts with market leading shared solar and storage solutions, and on-sells energy to embedded network customers.

The Challenge

When Pacific Equity Partners purchased WINconnect, it was working in an environment at the forefront of a transitioning economy, where energy, and in particular energy infrastructure, was beginning to shift.  It was also facing changing demands from its stakeholders, from end-users eager to access green power to national building codes requiring new developments incorporating innovative solutions to accommodate mass electrification.

Progress

Throughout PEP’s ownership, WINconnect has been able to accelerate the rollout of electric vehicle charging stations and provide more customers with access to green power as the first Community Energy Network provider to be accredited by GreenPower, an independent government accreditation.  Moreover, WINconnect has been able to accelerate the innovation of its product offerings, becoming a key partner for developers and owners’ corporations to ensure new developments meet the evolving sustainability standards required by councils and building codes, thus enabling owners’ corporations to offer their customers access to new and sustainable service options.  With the developments in the construction space and the evolution of the NABERs rating system, WINconnect has positioned itself to take advantage of the transitioning energy market and provide developers, owners’ corporations and end-users with access to sustainable energy.
