Autopacific Group (Autopac) is a market leading vehicle accessories and towing solutions manufacturer.  With operations in Australia and Thailand, the business manufactures innovative, reliable and quality products for the vehicle industry.

The Challenge

In the manufacturing industry, safety is a particularly important aspect to manage.  Manufacturing employees typically operate heavy machinery, and without adequate safety practices in place, processes can endanger lives. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic wreaked havoc on supply chains and the health and safety of our staff was a priority.  Autopac needed to mobilise to ensure staff were protected from serious illness.

Progress

During PEP’s ownership, through a strong focus on a safety culture, Autopac has demonstrated strong safety practices and culture.  When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Autopac was able to protect its staff and acquired sufficient vaccine doses to immunise its entire Thailand workforce, plus their families.  While in Australia, Autopac worked with PEP to encourage staff to get vaccinated and offered an incentive of donating vaccines to developing nations in an effort to encourage higher vaccination uptake.
